Olof August Borg, soldier no 102, b. 1858-12-24 from Bottna, married to Johanna Augusta Andersdotter b. 1861-02-21 from Ramberg. The family is living at Rimseröd in Naverstad parish. Nine children are born in the family: Hilma Charlotta, Anna Maria, Karl Oskar, Svante Julius, Gustaf Adolf, Ejnar Napoleon, Hanna Olivia, Otto Verner and Johan Arvid.

Eight of the children in the family emigrates to the US. Hilma 1900, Anna Maria 1904, Karl Oskar 1906, Svante Julius 1909, Gustaf Adolf 1912, Ejnar Napoleon 1916, Otto Verner 1924 and Johan Arvid 1928.

Hilma b. 1883-01-12, emigrates in 1900. She says that she is going to a cousin in New York by the name Anna Löfgren. Hilma later moves to Canada where she marries a man by the name Thygesen (sounds Norwegian). Nothing else is known about Hilma.

Anna Maria b. 1886-04-14, emigrates in 1904. She married Karl Axel Svensson from Helsingborg (southern part of Sweden). They have three children: Edith b. 1908, married to Walter Tiesu, Ethel b. 1910, married to Jack Davis, living in Lake Corwichan, British Columbia, and Bonnie b. 1912, married to Edward Marley.

Carl Oskar b. 1888-09-16, emigrates in 1906. We have a copy of a registration card from WWI, and Carl is then living in Pinal county in Arizona. Nothing else is known about his life in US.

Svante Julius b. 1891-05-31, emigrates in 1909. You can read about Svante in the part “Bullingar in war”. Svante returned to Sweden in 1922. He married Alfrida Martinsson, and they had three children, Gunnar, Rune and Knut. Svante worked the farm at Rimseröd kasen.

Gustaf Adolf b. 1894-01-14, emigrates in 1912. He married Svea C. Swanson, b, 1900-09-08 from Blekinge. The family lives in Springfield, Illinois, and has three children:
Bessie b. 1926, married to Samuel Steingiser, and has three children, Sara Lynn, Russel and Paul, and are living in Connecticut.
Henry (Hank) b. 1935, married to Barbara, and has two children, Eric and Rebecca. Hank and Barbara are living in Minnesota but prefer to stay in Florida during the winter.
Roy b. 1940, has one daughter Lisa. They are living in Springfield, Illinois

Ejnar Napoleon b. 1897-01-26, emigrates in 1916. He returned to Sweden in 1926, and died in 1928.

Hanna Olivia b. 1899-01-13. She married Karl Pontus Jansson from Västmanland, and has one daughter Emmy Augusta b. 1923. Hannas husband emigrates in 1924 to Evanston, Illinois, and he dies there in 1929.

Otto Verner b. 1902-04-01, emigrates in 1924. He married Signe Karlsson from Dalarna, and lived in Evanston Illinois. Verner returned to Sweden in 1969.

Johan Arvid b. 1909-08-31, emigrates in 1928. He married Alvina from Germany. They had no children, and lived in Glenview Illinois.
