Janne Johannesson from Sogard, and his friend Carl Johansson from Hästhagen, left Bullaren in March, 1888 and emigrated to Florence, Wisconsin.

Hilmer Johannesson
Hilmer is the son of Johannes Andreasson and Petronella Hansdotter from Vassbotten.
Two other children from the family, Justina and Karl Magnus, also left for the US. There was another daughter in the family, Emilia, and she is the one that Janne married when he returned from the US.
When Hilmer leaves, he is followed by a girl from the same place, Justina Eliasson. They both go to Bruce Mines in Ontario.
The picture of Hilmer is taken in Bessemer, so he must have moved around in the US.
There is no family information about Karl Magnus, the brother of Hilmer.
There is family information that one of the brothers was killed by a mountain lion.
